Obrolan di Poltek Negeri Batam

Seminar adalah kesempatan baik untuk menceritakan penelitian kita, juga dengerin obrolan orang lain tentang penelitian mereka. Naah, di SENTEN2016 kali ini sy bawakan obrolan (dalam format poster) dengan judul ‘Study on fuel multipass effect on core performance of small pebble bed reactor ‘.

Ringkasnya, makalah ini cerita hasil riset kecil-kecilan tentang dampak dari skema pengisian bahan bakar pada teras pebble bed reactor (pbr) terhadap performa teras tersebut, khususnya teras yang secara geometri dan level daya kecil. Disisi lain, tulisan ini juga sedikit mendemonstrasikan kemampuan kami di PTKRN-BATAN dalam mendesain teras pbr termasuk mengoptimalkan fleksibilitas skema resirkulasi bahan bakar.

Abstraknya, ya seperti berikut ini (ini sebelum diperbaiki sesuai masukan dari Reviewer) :

STUDY ON FUEL MULTIPASS EFFECT ON CORE PERFORMANCE OF SMALL PEBBLE BED REACTOR. Pebble bed reactor (PBR) offers a sound safety features based on its passive safety characteristic. In any condition, even in the most severe accident, the safety feature of PBR assure a low radiation release to environment. In term of design and operational condition, the ball-shape fuels in the PBR core are moving downward from top of the core to the bottom of the core. Generally, it is known that lower fuel pass scheme, in particular the single-pass OTTO fuel scheme, will cause a high peak of power density and low burnup. But no quantitative study has been performed for small PBR. This research aim to perform analysis on the effect of different fuel pass scheme for small 10 MWt PBR. This research focus on the reactor physics parameter in normal operation of the equilibrium core. The equilibrium core calculation was performed using PEBBED code. The analysis results show that PBR core with fuel pass scheme from single-pass to 10-pass have its advantages and disadvantages. However, to achieve a higher burnup level, which is one of the most important performances, PBR core with more fuel pass is preferable. For small PBR core, it is found that maximum power densities for PBR core with more fuel pass having a higher maximum power density.

Makalah diatas sy tulis bareng senior di PTKRN-BATAN, Pa Zuhair, dan sohib sesama periset PBR dari Fisika ITB, Kang Dwi Irwanto. Sy dan Kang Dwi sama-sama menimba ilmu di Fisika ITB juga di Obara Lab. Tokyo Tech.

Oh ya, selain diatas ada makalah-makalah lain yang akan diobrolkan di Poltek Negeri Batam nanti dimana sy jadi co-author:

  • DFT Study : Cs defect in SiC layer TRISO particle. Penulis utamanya Pak Dinan Andiwijayakusuma, rekan di PTKRN-BATAN. Makalah ini akan disajikan dalam sesi poster.(abstrak)
  • Analysis of thorium oxide utilization on initial critical core of high temperature reactor. Penulis utamanya Pak Rokhmadi, senior di PTKRN-BATAN. Makalah ini akan disajikan dalam sesi poster.
  • Study on the use of wallpaper-type fuel in neutronic design of small pebble bed reactor. Dengan penulis dua rekan senior dari PTKRN BATAN Pak Zuhair dan Pak Suwoto, serta Pak Putranto Ilham Yazid dr Batan Bandung.

Juga makalah dari dua mahasiswa UGM yang sempet riset ngerjain Tugas Akhirnya bareng sy di PTKRN-BATAN berikut

  • Ganjar Putro Indratoro dengan makalah Optimasi desain teras HTGR 150MWt dengan variasi geometri teras dan pengayaan uranium, yang akan ditampilkan sebagai presentasi oral.
  • Faisal Fuad Nursyahid dengan makalah ‘ Studi awal optimasi burnup HTR-PM 150MWt dengan menggunakan bahan bakar U-Th.‘, yang juga akan ditampilkan sebagai presentasi oral.

Yap..semoga obrolannya nanti bs bermanfaat dan membawa obrolan2 bermanfaat lainnya.
